Worth the Pain
Half-Marathon Training Week 2 - Run 4 5.0 miles - 1:00:35 / 12:07 pace Splits: 12:48; 12:34; 11:52; 12:08; 11:43
The run itself went quite well. I was really enjoying mile 3…it seemed so easy and fast somehow. The last mile was a little quicker, mainly motivated by desperation to finish as soon as possible.

Time Trial And Error
My dad (who coached college cross-country for 30+ years) approved of my Hal Higdon training plan, and suggested I do a 1-mile time trial, to push myself and do 1 mile as fast as possible. I had intended to go to the public high school down the street to use their track, but apparently they have it fenced off and locked gates. =/

9:30 - 10:15pm is pretty dark around here. Especially on the Sand Creek Trail; my headlamp was literally the only light around most of the time.
